The Krogan Lab is dedicated to creating a culture of belonging and acceptance for people of all backgrounds — including women, minorities, persons with disabilities, and people of other underrepresented identities, and first generation college students, to help the new wave of scientists thrive. Our goal is to provide opportunities and mentorships that create an inclusive culture in research science. We are also dedicated to increasing awareness in addressing bias and discrimination when and where in happens.
We acknowledge that our research space at UC San Francisco and the Gladstone Institutes are largely housed on the territory of Yelamu, the ancestral and unceded land of the Ramaytush Ohlone people who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. We recognize that our community has and continues to benefit from the use and occupation of this land.
